The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People

Stephen Covey recently passed away in the middle of last month. (July 2012)  This book is amazing and will change your life.  He gives you all of the keys you need to make the right decisions and how to map out your future.  This was voted by Time Magazine one of the top business books of the twenty-first centry.  It was published in 35 languages and sold over 25 million copies.  I will follow up with more about each habit in a future post.  Below are some of my favorite quotes.

I would reccomend doing exactally what I did.  This story is absolutely amazing.  The problem is that I already have a back log of books that I need to read to get better and this one is simply too long to add to the list. 

The solution:  We are talking about a must read or rather a must hear.   Audible.Com

After getting the book and downloading it onto my Ipod I have made my way through the majority of the book simply by listening on my way to work or throughout my travels.  It made my recent trip to San Francisco extra special and gives me constant insipration.

I recently finished Purple Cow by Seth Godin.  Wouldn’t really reccomend spending that much time on it, however there were some nice takeaways.
Find your Niche, Specialize in one area that you can do better than anyone else
If you do that the product will sell itself. 
The greatest form of marketing is still word of mouth.
Get people excited about your product – Momentum –

Finally as we all know the traditonal methods of advertising are fading away. 
Follow people eyes = utilize the internet.
